HELMETS – LITTLE LEARNERS EXPLORE SAFETY HELMETS

Our physical movement activity, “Helmets,” gave our little learners in the Upenn 3 class a wonderful opportunity to discover a familiar everyday safety item: the helmet. The children actively observed, held, touched, and tried on helmets, picking up new English vocabulary while taking their very first steps toward understanding how helmets protect our heads and keep us safe when riding.

Exploring the Helmet: The children observed and explored the shape, texture, and bright colors of the helmets. Little hands eagerly held, touched, and practiced putting on their helmets in their own delightful ways.

Learning About Safety: The children were introduced to the word “helmet,” sang along joyfully to the “Helmet” song, and practiced a vital safety reminder whenever riding a bike or scooter: Wear a helmet!

This hands-on activity helped our young learners expand their vocabulary, listening comprehension, focus, and self-help skills, while nurturing essential early awareness of wearing a helmet to stay safe.
